Welcome to the Specialist Firearms Command Hub!
SCO19, officially known as the Specialist Firearms Command, is an elite unit within London's Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). It's responsible for providing armed response capabilities and dealing with incidents involving firearms. The unit is trained to handle high-risk situations, including counter-terrorism operations, hostage rescues, and armed confrontations. SCO19 officers are highly trained marksmen, skilled in a variety of weapons and tactical operations. They are often deployed in scenarios where there is a significant threat to public safety, making them a crucial component of the MPS's ability to respond to serious crime and terrorism in London.
Ranking Structure!
pAFO (Probationary Authorised Firearms Officer)
The probationary authorised firearms officer rank is the lowest rank of them all. It is the rank you are given if you pass the SCO-19 intake training. Every officer has to go through this stage when entering SCO-19. The probationary period that comes with the rank will on average last for 2 weeks.
AFO (Authorized Firearms Officer)
Once you finish your trial period as a pAFO you are then eligible for a promotion up to the rank of Authorized Firearms Officer. To get promoted from pAFO to AFO you must pass the AR training, and only once you have passed will you be able to move up. You can expect to stay at this rank for 3+ weeks all depending on your activity and overall impact on the division.
SFO (Specialist Firearms Officer)
Specialist Firearms Officer is the rank after Authorized Firearms Officer. A Specialist Firearms Officer get access to more firearms and utilities such as the M4 Carbine and smoke grenades & flashbangs. Once you are SFO you are also considered ARV trained.
OFC (Operational Firearms Commander)
Operational Firearms Commander is one of the highest ranks in SCO-19. It is at this point that you can start training others to become Glock-, Shotgun- and Basic Negotiation trained. An OFC has access to the SIG MCX assault rifle and the option of getting Helicopter Trained.
TRO (Tactical Rifle Officer)
The Tactical Rifle Officer is the 2nd highest rank in SCO-19 under command. As TRO you are still considered an OFC and will therefore also be able to carry out examinations/training. As a TRO you can get trained to use a sniper rifle and join the marksman team. The Marksman team consists of highly trained member members. These people consist of Gold Command, SCO-19 command and Tactical Rifle Officers+. As a marksman, you are allowed to carry a sniper rifle such as the Remington 700 on your day-to-day patrol, but as a TRO you may only carry an SMG if you carry a sniper.
STRO (Specialist Tactical Rifle Officer)
The Specialist Tactical Rifle Officer rank is the highest rank in SCO-19 under command. It is considered one of the most elite non-command ranks in the MET. As a STRO you are still considered an OFC and will therefore also be able to carry out examinations/training. Just like a TRO, STRO is also a part of the marksman team. As an STRO you are considered so experienced that you are now allowed to carry both an AR and a Sniper at the same time.
