Introduction
The CT-SFO (Counter Terrorism Specialist Firearms Officer) standard is the highest Authorised Firearms Officer level in the National Police Firearms Training Curriculum. CTSFOs are tasked with the planning and utilisation of intelligence gathered through CID. As a CT-SFO you will be committing to regular training, operations and roleplay interactions, members should be keen to further advance their skillset and have a desire to interact with the community.
Expectations of a Counter Terrorist Specialist Firearms Officer
Being a member of the Counter Terrorism Command (CTC) comes with many perks, and even more responsibility.
CTSFOs are the most elite members within SCO-19, and the MPS overall. You will receive the highest standard of training, be trusted with the highest calibre of weaponry and expected to maintain the utmost level of professionalism.
CTSFOs act as role-models for every member of the MPS, and as such candidates will only be accepted in the case that they display an appropriate skill set, including but not limited to maturity, dedication and leadership.
CTSFOs run on a 1 strike system, any scenario involving punishment will result in immediate removal from the division without exception.
Application stage
Members of SCO-19 that are the rank of AFO and above will be eligible to apply.
Once applications open, you are expected to write a high quality application, explaining in detail why you believe you should be considered for the role, what you can bring to the team and why you wish to join in the first place.
Applications are reviewed by Counter Terrorism Command, SCO Command.
Introduction stage
Candidates that are successful in their applications will move on to the introduction stage, in which they will undergo intense training as a group, failure to complete this training to the highest standard will result in the candidate being removed from the intake process. Information regarding the training is highly classified, and as such candidates will only understand their task minutes prior to undergoing the training.
Ranking structure
The ranking system of a CT-SFO consists of 5 ranks,
CT-SFO Constable
CT-SFO Sergeant
CT-SFO Inspector
CT-SFO Operational Senior Manager
CT-SFO Command
The ranking structure correlates directly with the SCO-19 ranking system, if you are AFO within SCO-19, it will take you longer than for example, an OFC, to rank up to a CT-SFO Inspector due to their seniority and experience. This is not to say that officers seen to be out-performing their peers will not find themselves rewarded for doing so, it merely acts as a bridge to ensure that all members are treated fairly when considering their time within SCO-19.
Roster structure
Initially, Counter Terrorism will have 12 open spots, with room for expansion in the scenario where more officers are deemed to be required for operations in the future.
There are 2 teams within the Counter Terrorism Command
Alpha Team
Bravo Team
